Today Karl visited one of his Scout stores in San Diego. Kelly, Jake and I went with him and while he worked...we went to the ZOO!! It was a perfect day and we had a lot of fun!

We ran into peacocks all over the zoo.
Kelly was enthralled with them!

to convince Kelly that those were not real fossils!

The one great thing about my lack of directional skills is we got turned around at just the right time! We ended up on a road that had a dead end and while we were there, they brought one of the camels out and Kelly was able to feed it some celery!!

The petting zoo...Kelly loved the goats.

Unfortunately our petting zoo visit was
cut short due to the following 3 pictures...
3 reasons not to take Jake to the petting zoo...
1. He tried to ride the goats

2. He felt the need to climb over
any animal laying down

3. He poked their noses and pulled their ears.
He did this all with love! :)
