This month as been a month of firsts for Jake...

*first haircut

*first steps

*first stay in a hospital....

Yep...that is right

Our poor little guy came down with a yucky stomach virus.

It left him lethargic and extremely dehydrated.

After a stop in the ER we were admitted to the children's

floor of CHOC Hospital in Mission Viejo.

They put him on an IV and monitored him.

It was a long 2 days but we are home now...

and slowly getting better!!

On top of Jake's illness, Kelly & I both got a touch

of the same virus. Luckily it was not as bad...

So...while Karl stayed at the hospital with Jake,

Kelly was with my parents and I was

at home resting in bed...wishing I could be with one of my babies!!

Jake got to ride in style out of the hospital.
They also gave him a warm fuzzy blanket made by CHOC volunteers!!

Jake LOVED all his nurses (however he hopes that he

does not see them any time soon!!)

They were AMAZING!!!

From the ER to the Children's floor we were treated so well!

Thank you for taking care of my baby and putting

up with all my "nurse calls"
